Overview

A lovely Australian family visiting Paris is seeking an experienced, professional, and engaging Travel Nanny to care for their 6-year-old daughter from 25 June until 21 July.

This is a live-out position based in Paris, with approximately five working days per week. The family is looking for a warm, energetic, and highly reliable nanny who can create a fun, safe, and enriching experience for their daughter while they are travelling.

The ideal candidate will be fluent in English, confident working with children of a similar age, and comfortable adapting to the family’s schedule and plans during their stay in Paris. Previous experience as a travel nanny or working with private families is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, caring, and engaging supervision for a 6-year-old girl throughout the day.

  • Plan and lead fun, age-appropriate activities, both indoors and outdoors.

  • Accompany the child on outings, visits, and family activities in Paris where required.

  • Encourage creativity, learning, play, and independence in a safe and supportive environment.

  • Maintain the child’s routine, including meals, rest time, and bedtime when babysitting.

  • Prepare simple snacks or meals for the child if required.

  • Keep the child’s belongings, toys, and activity areas tidy and organised.

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with the parents regarding the child’s day, plans, and well-being.

  • Provide babysitting support for one or two evenings during the family’s stay.

  • Be flexible and adaptable to the family’s itinerary and needs while travelling.

Requirements

  • Previous experience caring for children of a similar age in a private household or as a travel nanny.

  • Fluent English is essential.

  • Organised, punctual, reliable, and proactive.

  • Fun, energetic, creative, and genuinely engaging with children.

  • Professional, kind, discreet, and adaptable.

  • Able to confidently navigate Paris and accompany the child on outings.

  • A valid and up-to-date Police Check is mandatory.

  • A current First Aid & CPR Certificate is mandatory.

  • Previous travel nanny experience or private family experience is highly preferred.
