Overview

An entrepreneur based in Monaco is seeking an experienced, reliable, and highly professional Private Chauffeur to provide daily transportation support on a long-term basis.

This is a live-out position, based in Monaco, with regular travel throughout the French Riviera and Northern Italy. The successful candidate will drive the principal to and from the office each day, as well as to business meetings, appointments, lunches, events, and other professional or personal engagements.

The role involves frequent journeys between Monaco, Milan, Cannes, and Saint-Tropez, potentially with multiple trips per week depending on the principal’s schedule. The chauffeur must be comfortable with longer-distance driving, flexible with changing plans, and able to wait for and remain available to the principal during meetings and appointments.

The chauffeur will drive the client’s own luxury van and/or 4x4 vehicle. The ideal candidate will have an impeccable driving record, excellent knowledge of the region, a calm and service-oriented manner, and complete discretion.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the principal safely and punctually to and from the office in Monaco.

  • Provide transportation for business meetings, appointments, lunches, events, airports, and personal engagements.

  • Carry out frequent journeys between Monaco, Milan, Cannes, Saint-Tropez, and other destinations as required.

  • Accompany the principal during travel days, remain nearby during meetings and appointments, and be ready for onward journeys when required.

  • Plan all routes efficiently, considering traffic, road conditions, border crossings, parking, travel timings, and alternative routes.

  • Monitor the principal’s schedule and proactively anticipate transportation requirements.

  • Maintain the client’s vehicle in excellent condition, ensuring it is clean, fuelled, safe, roadworthy, and ready for use at all times.

  • Arrange or coordinate car washes, servicing, tyre checks, fuel requirements, and any necessary maintenance.

  • Assist with luggage, documents, shopping bags, and other reasonable items where required.

  • Remain flexible and available when the principal’s schedule changes at short notice.

  • Maintain the highest level of discretion and confidentiality regarding the principal’s business, movements, meetings, travel, and private affairs.

  • Ensure full compliance with all traffic laws and regulations in Monaco, France, and Italy.

  • Carry out other reasonable chauffeur-related duties as requested by the principal.

Requirements

  • Proven 5+ years of experience as a Private Chauffeur, Executive Driver, or professional drive VIPs, senior executives, or private clients.

  • Valid driving licence with an impeccable and clean driving record.

  • Fluent French is essential. English and/or Italian would be an advantage.

  • Excellent knowledge of Monaco, the French Riviera, and Northern Italy, including routes to Milan, Cannes, and Saint-Tropez.

  • Confident and experienced with long-distance driving and frequent cross-border travel between Monaco, France, and Italy.

  • Comfortable driving luxury vans, 4x4 vehicles, and other high-end vehicles.

  • Highly punctual, reliable, organised, and able to manage a demanding and changing schedule.

  • Professional, well-presented, calm, discreet, and service-oriented.

  • Strong route-planning skills and the ability to anticipate traffic, travel times, and logistical requirements.

  • Able to wait patiently and remain available during the principal’s appointments and meetings.

  • Flexible regarding occasional changes to working hours or travel requirements.

  • Legally entitled to work in Monaco and able to travel freely within France and Italy.

  • Able to provide excellent professional references from previous chauffeur or executive driving roles.
