Overview
A lovely family based in Luxembourg, who has just welcomed their first newborn baby, is seeking an experienced and professional Night Nurse to support them during the early weeks of parenthood. The position will start on 16 March and is expected to last two to three months, depending on the family’s needs and the candidate’s availability.
The family is looking for a calm, knowledgeable, and reassuring professional who can confidently guide them through the newborn stage while ensuring the baby’s safety, comfort, and well-being during the night. The Night Nurse will play an essential role in establishing healthy sleep habits, supporting feeding routines, and providing reassurance to first-time parents during the night.
The schedule will be 10 to 12 hours per night, allowing the parents to rest while knowing their baby is in safe and experienced hands.
Responsibilities
Provide attentive and professional overnight care for the newborn.
Support night-time feeding routines (breastfeeding support or bottle feeding if required).
Settle and soothe the baby during night awakenings.
Monitor the baby’s sleep patterns and ensure safe sleep practices are followed at all times.
Establish and maintain a calm and structured night routine for the newborn.
Perform diaper changes and general newborn care during the night.
Observe and communicate any concerns regarding the baby’s health, feeding, or sleep.
Provide gentle guidance and reassurance to first-time parents when needed.
Maintain a calm, hygienic, and organized environment during overnight care.
Respect the family’s parenting approach and preferences.
Requirements
.Minimum 5 years of experience caring for newborns, ideally as a Night Nurse or Maternity Nurse in private households.
Reliable, discreet, and highly professional.
Strong knowledge of newborn care, sleep patterns, feeding support, and early development.
Ability to establish and maintain healthy newborn routines.
Calm, patient, and confident professional with a nurturing approach.
Excellent communication skills and ability to reassure new parents.
Professional references from previous families.
Valid First Aid certification + police check
Available to start mid-March and commit for the duration of the contract.
