Overview

A lovely American family based in Estepona, Spain, is seeking two experienced, energetic, and highly engaging Travel Nannies to support them from 30 June until 21 July 2026.

This is a live-out summer position caring for five children aged between 4 and 9 years old. The family is looking for two proactive and creative nannies who can work together as a team to ensure the children are happy, safe, entertained, and well supervised throughout the day.

As the role involves caring for several children of different ages, the ideal candidates will be confident managing group dynamics, organising the day, and creating a wide variety of fun and age-appropriate activities. They should be able to keep the children engaged through games, creative projects, outdoor play, swimming, sports, excursions, and educational activities.

Working hours will vary depending on the family’s daily plans, but each nanny will be guaranteed a minimum of 6 working hours per day. Flexibility, a positive attitude, and the ability to adapt to a busy family holiday schedule are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, energetic, and responsible care for five children aged 4 to 9.

  • Work closely with the second nanny to ensure smooth supervision and a positive environment for all children.

  • Plan and lead creative, stimulating, and age-appropriate activities for a group of children with different interests and needs.

  • Organise fun indoor and outdoor activities, including arts and crafts, games, reading, sports, imaginative play, and educational activities.

  • Supervise the children during swimming, beach, pool, and outdoor activities, always ensuring their safety.

  • Accompany the family and children on local outings, activities, or excursions as required.

  • Encourage good manners, cooperation, independence, and respectful behaviour.

  • Support the children’s daily routines, including meals, getting ready, rest periods, and bedtime if required.

  • Keep children’s toys, belongings, and play areas tidy and organised.

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with the parents regarding the children’s activities, routines, and well-being.

  • Remain flexible and adaptable to the family’s changing schedule and holiday plans.

Requirements

  • Previous experience caring for multiple children, ideally within a private household or as a travel nanny.

  • Experience caring for children aged between 4 and 9 years old.

  • Fluent English is essential.

  • A creative, fun, energetic, and genuinely engaging approach with children.

  • Able to confidently plan and lead varied activities for a group of children.

  • Confident swimmer, with the ability to supervise children safely around water.

  • Full, clean driving licence and confident driving skills required.

  • Organised, punctual, reliable, and proactive.

  • Professional, flexible, discreet, and able to work well as part of a team.

  • A valid and up-to-date Police Check is mandatory.

  • A current First Aid & CPR Certificate is mandatory.

  • Previous experience in private households or travel nanny roles is highly preferred.
