Overview

Two American families travelling to Saint-Tropez are seeking two experienced, energetic, and professional Summer Nannies to care for their six children, aged between 3 and 10 years old, from 5 July until 17 July.

This is a live-out role, with daily working hours ranging from approximately 6 to 12 hours, depending on the families’ plans. The nannies will work together as a team, supporting the children throughout the day, during family activities, and on outings where required.

The ideal candidates will be warm, active, creative, and highly organised. They must be confident caring for several children of different ages, creating engaging activities, and maintaining a safe and positive environment in a busy holiday setting.

A strong preference will be given to candidates who know Saint-Tropez and the surrounding area well and can suggest suitable child-friendly activities, outings, beaches, playgrounds, and experiences. As some of the children have limited or no screen time, the nannies must be creative and proactive in planning enriching, screen-free activities that keep the children entertained, stimulated, and active throughout the day.

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, nurturing, and age-appropriate care for six children aged between 3 and 10 years old.

  • Work closely and positively alongside the second nanny to ensure smooth supervision and organisation throughout the day.

  • Supervise the children during family activities, outings, and excursions, both independently and in the presence of the parents.

  • Plan and lead engaging, active, educational, and recreational screen-free activities suitable for different age groups.

  • Organise games, arts and crafts, outdoor play, creative projects, sports, reading, and other stimulating activities.

  • Suggest and accompany the children on suitable local outings and child-friendly experiences in Saint-Tropez and the surrounding area.

  • Assist with meals, snacks, getting ready, rest time, and other daily routines.

  • Supervise swimming, beach, pool, and water-related activities, maintaining the highest standards of safety at all times.

  • Monitor and follow any dietary restrictions, allergies, medical requirements, and specific instructions provided by the families.

  • Encourage positive behaviour, good manners, social development, cooperation, and age-appropriate independence.

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organised environment for the children, including toys, activities, and children’s belongings.

  • Communicate professionally and clearly with the parents regarding the children’s well-being, routines, and daily activities.

  • Carry out any other reasonable childcare-related duties requested by the families.

Requirements

  • Previous experience caring for multiple children, ideally within a private household, holiday setting, or travel nanny role.

  • Confident caring for children aged between 3 and 10 years old.

  • Fluent English is essential, as both families are American.

  • A creative, energetic, active, and genuinely engaging approach with children.

  • Confident swimmer, with experience supervising children safely around pools, beaches, and water.

  • Good knowledge of Saint-Tropez and the surrounding area, with the ability to suggest appropriate child-friendly outings and activities.

  • Comfortable planning varied, enriching, and screen-free activities for children of different ages.

  • Organised, punctual, proactive, reliable, and able to remain calm in a busy family environment.

  • Professional, discreet, flexible, and able to work effectively as part of a two-nanny team.

  • Legally entitled to work in France.

  • A valid and up-to-date Police Clearance Certificate, Criminal Background Check, or equivalent is mandatory.

  • A current First Aid & CPR Certificate is highly preferred.
